Training opportunities for Associate Medical Writers

We recruit for Associate Medical Writers to join the Academy Foundation Programme in Healthcare Communications on a regular basis. If you are a postgraduate, or want to move from scientific research into the healthcare communications profession, or are starting your medical writing career, the Academy programme provides a framework for a successful transition.

After a structured 9-week programme of intensive training and skills application, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to join our Medical and Scientific Services (MSS) teams where you will continue to develop your medical writing skills, while being mentored by an experienced member of the team. As a member of the MSS team, you’ll work closely with the pharmaceutical industry and leading healthcare professionals on global healthcare communications programmes.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates should demonstrate:

• excellent scientific credentials (preferably a PhD, MD, or PharmD related to medical, research or clinical practice)
• an ability to understand and interpret complex scientific data
• good basic scientific writing ability and attention to detail
• excellent interpersonal skills for effective liaison with clients and healthcare professionals at an appropriate scientific and professional level
• a commitment to developing a career in healthcare communications
• enthusiasm, drive and flexibility.
